Outside Sales Representative

Cemtrex is currently seeking a qualified Outside Sales Assistant for a position in Farmingdale, NY. The primary responsibility of this position is Outbound Sales and Appointment Setting. We are seeking a smart appointment setting superstar that loves being on the phone and can flat out, get the job done. We are looking for someone with an outgoing personality and an energetic disposition.

This person is responsible for supporting the Sales/Marketing Team by generating leads, setting qualified appointments, and maintaining the sales appointment schedule. The role is to generate leads to ensure a constant pool of potential clients is available. Qualified candidates must have successful experience making outbound B2B calls scheduling appointments.

Job Duties:

  • Make outbound calls, manage leads by tracking and following up on them,
  • Ability to understand the customer's needs and inform others of those needs.
  • Successfully schedule minimum of 25 sales appointments per week.
  • Conduct precall qualification of leads through internet research.
  • Enter all notes and special instructions regarding an appointment into our CRM system.
  • Effectively communicate accurate, pertinent information to the Sales team and respond to correspondence regarding scheduling changes/cancellations with a sense of urgency.
  • Assist with our referral and other marketing efforts.

Requirements:

  • 1 plus years of sales, inside/outside sales or Telemarketing in a B2B industry; Industrial products is a preferred
  • Experience placing 50100 plus calls a day
  • References that verify proven successful track record of exceeding appointment setting or sales goals, motivation, and solid work ethic.
  • Successfully schedule minimum of 25 sales appointments per week.
  • Demonstrated ability/desire to perform in high pressure, fast growth company environment
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); University level education in Marketing or a similar field may be substituted for experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence.
  • Knowledge of general computer use (MS Office, internet browsing, email, etc.)
  • Be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to speak in a professional, pleasant manner over the phone

Controls & Instrumentation Engineer

Cemtrex is looking for a controls & instrumentation engineer to aid our growing business. The Engineer will have the opportunity to design and manage industrial control systems of manufacturing equipment for our various industrial products. This person should be independent, eager to learn new things on their own, be able to get a lot done with minimal supervision, pay close attention to details, and willing to take on challenging tasks.

Furthermore this person should be interested in helping assist servicing existing customers. We are looking for someone with an outgoing personality, who can combine technical skills with an energetic disposition. We need someone who enjoys designing a solution, assisting a client, and reaping all rewards of a successfully installed system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a strong understanding of PLC programming, electrical and controls systems to design and repair electrical control systems in a customer facility
  • Installs and repairs electronic equipment, in field installations
  • Studies blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures
  • Provide technical support for installers of equipment or service technicians
  • Operates CEM system to demonstrate equipment and to analyze and troubleshoot malfunctions
  • Interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools
  • Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance
  • Advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements
  • Develop, build, and program functional test systems.
  • Deal with controls and integration of different systems together
  • Program PLC and develop new software using PLC software
  • Experience with programming and logic flow charts
  • Test and research new products

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of digital and analog machine controls as well as the use of PLCs in automation and monitoring.
  • Previous experience with Controllogix systems is key for the position
  • Experience with Allen Bradley Logic 5000 preferred
  • 5+ Years Experience in Industry, Engineering Production, Manufacturing setting
  • B.S. in Engineering – Electrical is a plus
  • Advanced computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Problem solving, strong communication and project management skills coupled with the ability to establish good working relationships with all levels
  • Must have the ability to work independently and take responsibility for actions
  • Demonstrate initiative/self motivation.
  • Possess proven problem solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Analog and Digital signals
  • Able to travel up to 50% of time, and internationally
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and electrical systems, including analog and digital signals

This person will work in designing, assembling, and installing our monitoring and instruments products. The ideal candidate is responsible individual who has experience assembling, maintaining and testing electrical equipment; making adjustments and electrical repairs to machines and electrical components in a safe, efficient manner. This person should be independent, eager to learn new things on their own, be able to get a lot done with minimal supervision, pay close attention to details, and willing to take on challenging tasks.

Furthermore this person should be interested in helping assist servicing existing customers. From onsite visits to providing quotes for equipment and spare parts this person will gain experience on the sales and service side of our business. We are looking for someone with an outgoing personality, who can combine technical skills with an energetic disposition. We need someone who enjoys troubleshooting a problem, assisting a client, and reaping all rewards of a successfully repaired system.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Engineer

The primary responsibility of this position is Technical Sales and includes calling on/developing new accounts and growing business at existing accounts. We are looking for someone with an outgoing personality, who can combine technical skills with an energetic disposition. We need someone who enjoys designing a solution, persuading a client, and reaping all rewards of a successfully installed system.

The ideal candidate can work with little supervision, feels the need to meet and exceed sales goals, and has a do whatever it takes attitude. This person has exceptional verbal and written skills and is comfortable developing new accounts from scratch. We are looking for someone who will be a key member of our team and help us continue to grow. Additionally, the candidate must be a self-starter who demonstrates a sense of urgency and initiative, and be able to work “hands-on” to be successful. Cross-functional team management skills will be essential, as both the marketing team as well as other functional groups within the company will partner closely with this individual. While technical proficiency with industrial systems and technical sales is essential, a passion for customer service will drive success in this role.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prospect, develop, and expand customer base including power generation plants, industrial plants, oil refineries, manufacturing facilities.
  • Analyzes and interprets requirements based on equipment RFQs and write proposals for the company. Outline/highlight any special areas in buyer specifications to comply with buyer’s requirements, and formulate/direct the execution of the associated proposals.
  • Work with inside sales and engineering team in the research and gathering of information related to the preparation of equipment design details, costs and specifications, direct initial concepts and identify application specific challenges.
  • Directly support the project management work efforts, equipment proposals and processes, and act as the technical and contract liaison for the customer
  • Developing new business from cold leads is a critical part of the job
  • Close and manage 3rd party channel and affiliate relationships; grow strategic customer base via affiliate relationships by identifying prospects, pitching bi-lateral partnership opportunities, negotiating key terms and closing deals
  • Develop sales tools, including product demonstration presentations, application notes, demo CDs, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct sales training programs to cover products and related applications for both manufacturer representatives and customer base.
  • Implement strategic sales initiatives into the region that complement the corporate goals and objectives.
  • Manage representative channel including forecasting, establishment of sales goals and pipeline management as well as promotions and new product roll outs
  • Participate in trade shows and local technical seminars when required.
  • Maintain sales automation tool (CRM) with updates to contacts, pipeline, opportunities and forecast, and measure and optimize results vs. goals.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to sell up into organizations.
  • Expert in MS Office
  • Travel may be up to 30%
  • Well versed in long sales cycle, ROI based selling and marketing techniques
  • Experience in the utilities marketplace and familiarity selling into large corporations particularly industrial would be HIGHLY beneficial.
  • Must possess strong listening skills, ability to (after training) listen to technical specifications and coherently relay requirements to factory.
  • Ability to multi-task with an attention to detail.
  • Must have strong customer service and relationship building skills within industrial marketplaces.
  • Strong relationship building skills required.
  • BS degree in engineering preferred. Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial a strong plus
  • Five (5) years minimum experience in sales/marketing of scientific instrumentation or industrial related products preferred.
